Costessey Fete returns this weekend at Norfolk Showground

Published: 15 September 2025

Thousands of people are expected to flock to the Norfolk Showground this weekend for the return of the Costessey Fete.

The popular event, which first launched in 2014, has grown into one of the largest community celebrations in the area. Last year’s fete drew an estimated 18,000 visitors across the weekend, and organisers are preparing for another bumper turnout.

The showground will be packed with entertainment, including a traditional funfair, live music and tribute acts, children’s activities and even a miniature railway. More than 200 stalls will be set up, selling everything from handmade gifts and local produce to games and novelty items.

Food lovers will be spoilt for choice, with a “food village” serving up street food, sweet treats and drinks throughout the weekend. A Saturday night firework display is set to be one of the main highlights.

Entry is £3 per person, with under-fives going free. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Free parking will be available on site.

The Costessey Fete takes place at the Norfolk Showground on Saturday 20 September from 10am to 10.30pm and Sunday 21 September from 10am to 8pm.
