Taverham Lions raise £3,500 from Christmas Float
Published: 15 January 2026

Taverham Lions have raised £3,500 from their 2025 Christmas Float, thanks to the generosity of residents in Taverham, Thorpe Marriott and Drayton.
The annual festive fundraiser saw Father Christmas tour local streets throughout December, continuing a tradition that has been running for around 40 years. Despite a technical issue early on, which temporarily sidelined the float, the Lions were able to complete their planned routes with the help of a local garage.
Crowds turned out to support the float and enjoy the chance for children to meet Father Christmas, with the event once again proving popular with families across the area.
Funds raised will support the Lions’ ongoing charitable work in the local community.
