New Norwich salon to launch on International Women’s Day

Published: 27 January 2026

The owner of a Norwich city-centre beauty clinic has announced that its new, larger salon will officially open on Sunday 8th March – International Women’s Day.

Charisma Beauty, Skincare and Laser, owned by Charlotte Sims, will open its new premises on Timberhill, remaining within Castle Quarter, where the business has been based for the past 13 years.

Charlotte founded Charisma in 2004, aged just 17, after receiving a £1,000 start-up gift from her grandparents. Celebrating 21 years in business in 2025, Charlotte and her team have grown the business into one of Norwich’s most established independent beauty clinics, employing a team of 10 therapists and earning a strong reputation for customer service.

In November last year, plans were announced to relocate the long-established salon from its former home at 10 Farmers Avenue, which it has outgrown. And following a conversation with Castle Quarter’s marketing and administration manager, Gemma Hyde, Charlotte was introduced to the Timberhill site and instantly fell for the space.

“I’m so excited about the move, and to show off the new salon”

The new salon is a three-storey building and has undergone a full renovation, with Charlotte sharing behind the scenes progress on the salon’s Facebook page.

Announcing the International Women’s Day opening date, owner Charlotte said: “We’re a female founded and led business, and this date just clicks with what we stand for at Charisma. We’re a team of women lifting each other up, and the date felt so right for launching the next chapter.

“We cannot wait to launch the new premises to everyone on 8th March. For our loyal clients who can’t wait that long, there’ll be the chance to book a special VIP package for the 5th, 6th or 7th March allowing them to get in and experience the salon before anyone else.

“I’m so excited about the move, and to show off the new salon, I’m very proud of it and the whole team who have made it happen.”

The refurbished space has been transformed into a contemporary, city-centre beauty destination, featuring six treatment rooms, including dedicated spaces for laser therapy, CACI facial treatments and body sculpting. The salon also includes three nail bars, three pedicure stations and an elevated relaxation area for clients.

Accessibility was a key consideration during the renovation, with two treatment rooms positioned at street level.

All existing Charisma therapists have moved to the new premises, with the business recruiting for two additional therapists, as part of the expansion.

Charlotte said the move reflects growing demand for non-invasive beauty and skincare treatments, which have become the clinic’s specialist areas.

“Charlotte and her team provide true VIP treatment”

“While we continue to offer manicures, facials and massages, we’re always evolving. We’re well-known for treatments such as hair removal, body sculpting and non-surgical facelifts, and we’re excited to introduce new experiences too.”

New additions to the salon’s offering will include a Korean head spa, a deeply relaxing scalp and head rejuvenation treatment.

After moving out, Charlotte is also developing plans for the Farmers Avenue premises, which she is keeping on, and has plans for a second beauty business venture aimed at supporting others starting out in the beauty industry.

Gemma Hyde, marketing and administration manager at Castle Quarter said: “Charisma Beauty, Skincare and Laser is one of our longest-standing independent tenants, and we’re thrilled to hear they will be opening the doors to their new site this March. Charlotte and her team provide true VIP treatment to everyone who books in, and we wish them every success at their new salon, in the heart of Norwich.”

Charisma’s final day at the Farmers Avenue salon will be Saturday 28th February, before making the move to Timberhill and opening on Sunday 8th March.
