Art Fair East returns to Assembly House in November
Published: 19 October 2025

The largest and liveliest art far in the East is gearing up to grace the city of Norwich next month as it celebrates a decade of bringing contemporary art to the region.
Art Fair East will host a gathering of hundreds of artworks from international and regional artists, galleries and dealers, in the spectacular setting of The Assembly House.

Many celebrated artists will be joining from Norfolk and Suffolk such as painters Jenni Murphy and Patricia Robinson, alongside artists from around the country including illustrator Emily Woodard, printmaker Mister Geez and painter Amy Wormald. Venues from across the UK will also be joining in, including the newly-formed Pimpernel Gallery with work from nine bold and distinctive artists.
This hugely popular event is organised by leading Norfolk-based artists Will Teather and Brian Korteling. The dynamic duo are passionate about sharing their love of contemporary art, all while helping to support established and emerging artists, and creating a real buzz around the visual arts.
Will said: “We are delighted to be able to host our 10th outing at The Assembly House again, it is an iconic landmark in the city and makes for an incredible backdrop for Art Fair East as we transform it into a giant art gallery.

“With international and regional talent coming together, a wide range of artists, galleries and dealers will join us to bring a slice of the art world to both seasoned and new art lovers. There is a real buzz at the exhibition, with so much to see and so many artists there in person for visitors to chat to.
“The line-up for 2025 includes many works never seen before in the East of England so visitors can expect surprises around every corner. This highlight event in the area’s cultural calendar really is a key meeting point for artists, art lovers, buyers, collectors and those curious about creativity.”
Art Fair East offers the chance for people to meet artists and view their work and with all the art for sale, it’s a fantastic opportunity to collect a unique artwork, to start Christmas shopping, or perhaps to invest in a future star of the art world.

Norwich-based painter Jenni Murphy is exhibiting at the fair for the first time. Her work celebrates joyful, everyday moments – from swimming at the lido and picnics in the park to children exploring rock pools – and is inspired by real memories and conversations.
Jenni said: “What excites me most about an art fair is the chance to connect directly with people. To see them light up when a painting reminds them of a family holiday, or to hear their own stories and memories sparked by the work. That exchange is the most important aspect for me. “I believe art should feel welcoming and joyful. Being at the fair is about more than showing paintings. It’s about building connections, sharing memories. “Most of my fairs are in London, so it feels really special to be showing my work closer to home. I love the idea that local people can discover my paintings and maybe even spot places or moments they recognise in them.”
Hundreds of artworks will be on display from a carefully-curated line-up of artists and exhibitors. From traditional to contemporary fine art and modern to urban street art, a kaleidoscope of works also including photography, collage, drawing, print, sculpture and digital artwork will be on show.

Artists and experts will be on hand to chat to visitors about their displays which is one of the most special aspects of the fair, so people can really delve into the creative processes behind the artworks.
This year’s fair runs from from 7th – 9th November at The Assembly House in Norwich.
Art Fair East is sponsored by Chadwicks Wealth alongside Dipple & Conway. Since 2024 The Assembly House has been venue sponsor.
