Community at the heart of Castle Quarter’s Christmas activities
Published: 25 October 2025

Castle Quarter in Norwich will be hosting a magical line-up of Christmas activities and events starting from mid-November, helping the whole community to catch the festive spirit.
Whether you’re looking for family fun, wish to treat a loved one, or give back to a local charity or community group during the season of goodwill, Castle Quarter at Christmas will be a welcoming space for all.
Highlights on Castle Quarter’s Christmas calendar include:
Community Christmas Tree Trail, from Monday 17th November – Enjoy a beautiful trail of 20 Christmas trees, dotted around the shopping centre and carefully decorated by community groups, local charities and schools. Spot them all and pick your favourite.

Christmas Wishing Tree, from Monday 17th November – Is there someone in your life who deserves an extra gift under the tree? Make a wish for them at the Castle Quarter Wishing Tree installation, where you can decorate a tag, dedicated to that special person, detailing a gift you know they’d love to receive (a gift that can be purchased in the centre). Explain why they are so deserving, and just before Christmas, three wishes will be selected from the tree and granted.
Reindeer Trail, from Monday 17th November – While spotting all the community Christmas trees around Castle Quarter, can you also find and count the reindeer? Nine posters depicting Santa’s trusty companions will be hidden in store windows around the centre. Tick them all off and hand in a completed trail sheet to be in with the chance of winning a £50 gift voucher to spend in Castle Quarter.
Meet real-life reindeer, on Monday 22nd December, from 12pm to 4pm – An exciting chance to meet two real-life reindeer up close during a special meet and greet. Visiting Norwich before they transport Santa’s sleigh, the reindeer will be stopping by the Castle Meadow entrance where you can give them a welcoming stroke and wish them luck for their big around-the-world journey in just a few days’ time!
“We want to offer activities that help build that excitement”

Gemma Hyde, marketing and administration manager at Castle Quarter, said: “We’re excited to reveal this year’s calendar of festive feel-good events. It’s such a magical time, especially for young families, and we want to offer activities that help build that excitement, but also provide ideas for low-cost days out, especially at what can be an expensive time of year. I can’t wait to see the look on children’s faces when they meet Santa’s reindeer!
“It’s also a time to think of others and show our thanks for those who have supported us throughout the year. That’s why we hope, through our Community Christmas Tree Trail, we’ll be able to shine a spotlight on charities and groups doing amazing work in our communities, and our poignant Christmas Wishing Tree will see people who deserve a little extra this Christmas be nominated for a special treat – a chance to show how grateful we are to those people who do so much for others.
“We hope as many people as possible will come along and join in, as well as see what Castle Quarter has to offer for shopping and leisure this festive period.”
