Fang-tastic fun awaits at Castle Quarter this Halloween

Published: 5 September 2025

Get your skates on at Castle Quarter this October and celebrate Halloween together with a free spooktacular Skate and Scare event.

On Thursday 30th October, from 10.30am to 4pm, White Lion Square in the shopping centre (located outside Boots on the ground floor) will become home to a ghostly roller-skating rink, complete with Halloween-themed music, lighting, decorations and staff dressed up in frightfully fabulous costumes.

Skaters will enjoy 20-minute sessions. All equipment and safety gear will be provided, plus there will be a prize for the person who skates in the best spooky Halloween costume.

“Join in the fang-tastic fun and help us raise much-needed funds”

Sessions are free, but skaters are invited to make donations for The Hamlet charity, which provides local support for children, young people and adults with disabilities and complex health needs. On the day, members of The Hamlet team will be there to talk about their amazing work.

Gemma Hyde, marketing and administration manager at Castle Quarter, says: “We love to offer unique experiences that make people smile and give families the chance to spend quality time together, so I can’t wait to see everyone get into the spirit of Halloween with our spooktacular Skate and Scare event. And, if we spot you darting around the rink in a boo-tiful costume, you could also win a prize.

“Every skating session is free to take part, but we will be collecting donations for The Hamlet, which supports children, young people and adults with disabilities and complex health needs in Norwich and Norfolk. Bring your fiends and friends, join in the fang-tastic fun and help us raise much-needed funds for the incredible work they do in our local community.”
